Chalet Alpina

  • Tree Removal (Completed): Select approved trees around the Historical Lift and Historical Chalets have been removed to facilitate preparing these structures for relocation and future re-uses as approved by HPC. The removed trees are part of the projects overall approvals and final entitlements.
  • Historical Lift One Wheelhouse & Towers (Completed): Dismantling of these structures so these can be removed to facilitate future construction. These items will be stored off-site for the duration of construction and refurbished prior to reinstatement on the project.
  • Aspen Skier Chalet Steak House: Interior abatement has been completed. The chalet will be prepared for relocation in the next phase of construction including removal of balconies/chimney and brick for future re-installation and demolition of non-historic components. Interior demolition and structural bracing shall be installed to allow future relocation of the buildings per approvals. This work is anticipated to continue into early 2026.
  • Skier’s Lodge Historical Chalet (Starting Oct. 1, 2025): Interior abatement has been completed. Chalet preparation work will be prepared for relocation in the next phase of construction including removal of balconies/chimney and brick for future re-installation and demolition of non-historic components is underway. Interior demolition and structural bracing shall be installed to allow future relocation of the buildings per approvals.
  • 16" Water Main: Per project approval's, a new water main is being installed from Monarch St. to S. Aspen St. to support the corridor redevelopment. This work has been completed.
  • As future construction plans are developed, additional updates will be posted.
